Since mast cells are for destroying and attacking invasive parasites, would intentionally giving a dog worms have any beneficial effect in the case of mast cell tumors, where the mast cells have essentially become unstable? Would the introduction of an enemy for them to fight help to stabilize them and focus thier spread?
Does anyone actually know if the effects of giving a dog parasites with mast cell tumors has been studied or observed?

My fiance and I were engaged in May 2007, we are planning to get married in October 2008. In October 2007 he was diagnosed with cancer– both of us being college students, he is still covered under his parent’s insurance. If we get married in October and he can no longer be covered by his parent’s insurance– what are our options? Is there a way for him to take over his current coverage??

If a malignant tumor is expected to kill a person, why shouldn’t
doctors try to remove it? What is the worst thing that can happen if the patient is expected to die soon anyway? For example, if the tumor is near a sensitive, vulnerable part of the brain, I can understand the concerns of damaging an essential brain function. But in cases where death is imminent, wouldn’t it seem worth the chance, no matter how small, to give it a try?

My father in law has suffered with cancer for over a year. First it was in his esophogaus and then the brain. He became one of the 12% to get through it. Now the tumors are back in the brain and he recently checked himself out of the hospital with pneumonia. He will not talk to anyone about how serious this is. We are worried and any and all info would help. Thanks
He can only now do low dose radiation, as he has had radiation on the same spot within a year. Surgery for some reason was a no and chemo is a no for some reason, as I said he wont talk about it “doesnt want to worry us” Yes, he should have stayed in the hospital, but didnt, and said he wont return. Thanks for the help so far.

I am 13 and will be 14 in exactly 20 days. I am above average as far as my chest size. For the past few days, I have been experiencing some very bad pain in one of my breasts. I have talked to my mom about it, but she said it may just be a briuse from working out in P.E. She told me that if the pain persists, she will set up a doctor’s appointment. Niether one of us has open expressed the possibility of it being breast cancer but I have thought about it. Maybe I am just ill informed as to what breast cancer is and I shouldn’t be worrying, please help.
